Our Purpose

• Be a service oriented organization which provides information, resources, and services for handbell directors and ringers through the sharing of level-appropriate technique instruction and review of new and existing music from valid handbell industry sources
   

• Communicate, as a forum for the exchange of ideas through publications and technology, and workshops which provide director and ringer training in the application and use of effective rehearsal strategies and ringing techniques
   

• Promote the use of technology as a tool for handbell music education and to foster utilization of the most effective techniques and resources in the industry
   

• Encourage a high standard of excellence in handbell music education by recognizing area member achievements and contributions to the industry
   

• Establish and support partnerships and effective liaisons with organizations that have allied interests
   

• Identify and establish effective strategies in promoting the handbell music industry
   

• Support and cooperate with the national guild advocacy efforts by collaborating with those in the handbell music industry
